Who we are

Tyger Valley College is an independent, combined school of excellence in the Pretoria East area. The School provides outstanding facilities, qualified and dedicated teachers who with passion and enthusiasm fulfil the needs of each pupil in a sensitive, caring manner within a balanced programme of academic, cultural and sporting pursuits. The school is part of the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa and writes the Independent Examinations Board examinations in Grade 12.

In this dynamic, happy learning environment, supported by a strong Christian-based value system, our pupils will be able to achieve their full potential academically, physically, socially and spiritually to emerge as well balanced, productive individuals.

Tyger Valley College offers many different sporting activities and the School boasts a number of exceptional sporting facilities.

Environment & Outreach

Tyger Valley College prides itself on being a community conscious school and boasts an International Green flag for being environmentally aware and meeting all expected criteria required for this honour. 

Our Founders

Centurus Colleges, the education subsidiary of Centurus (Pty) Ltd, was dedicated to the establishment of schools of excellence in Gauteng. The company established Pecanwood College (Hartebeesport), Southdowns College (Centurion) and Tyger Valley College located in the East of Pretoria.   

In 2015 the Cenuturus schools joined the Independent Institute of Education (IIE) - a subsidiary of ADvTECH Ltd. We remain with the Centurus Brand but now operate alongside other school brands namely Crawford Colleges, Trinity Schools, Maragon Schools, Abbotts Colleges, Junior Colleges and College Academies. This association brings together many minds and practices and helps us develop our school to be the best.
